The
Shift
In life
different shifts are encountered as part of the process of life. This
blog will be reviewing two kinds of shifts that are experienced. One
kind of shift experienced is the shift into the unknown. The other is a
shift into an area where failure had been experienced previously.
Both these have a tremendous impact on a persons life and confidence
levels.
Life in general is filled
with unexpected turns that leaves individuals discombobulated. It is
these unexpected turns that society often refers to as the cause of
discouragement and fear of failure. These unfamiliar curves of life
often moves a person mentally, emotionally and sometimes physically
from what is familiar and comfortable into a state of discomfort and
leave them feeling insecure.
This discomfort is caused
by the fear of the unknown that every person experiences when
encountering the unknown. These fears are to be expected when any new
venture is taken on or encountered. These new curves of life often
leaves individuals contemplating on the possibility of failure. These
thoughts on failure can either spur a person on towards the new
challenge at hand or could cause them to back down and not stand up
to the challenge.
The second shift that a
person's likely to encountered in the process of life is the shift
into an area where failure had been experienced. Somewhere along the
cause of life one encounters situations where failure had been
experienced be it in marriage, family issues, studies or a job change
that had previously had gone wrong. It almost seems as if life gives
one a second chance at these areas where failure had been
experienced.
The problem experienced
with this second paradigm shift is that often one had not dealt with
the failures previously experienced. Many times people move on but
never deal with failures or problems encountered in the course of
life. When these sudden shifts redirects them back into the direction
of the areas where failure had been experienced the fear becomes
greater than that of facing the unknown. Taking charge of areas where
failure had been encountered becomes much greater than taking charge
of situations where the unknown is encountered.
One of the main reason for
the timidness when facing situations where failure had been
experienced is the fact that the failure had not been dealt with. Not
dealing with the failure and the fear of it in that given area where
they have failed leaves people vulnerable and unprepared to face
those situations second time around. They are caught with their hands
behind their back.
Previous failure can blind
a person from the opportunity within the shift that has taken place.
It is almost as if previous failure blind folds a person and leaves
them clueless about the endless opportunity presented by the shift.
In some instances it could lead individuals to reject life altering
opportunities for they had not dealt with those failures.
In order to over come past
failures and avoid the tremendous fault of allowing it to stand in
the way of present day success it has to be dealt with head on.
Sometimes dusting of the dust of failure might be easier said than
done but dealing with it will be worth it in the long run.
To many people leave past
failures without dealing with it and in the long run it catches up to
them and it has a negative affect on their present day. Deal with
past mistakes, mishaps and disappointments this way when the shift of
life come it does not catch you unprepared.
